Marketing on Twitter is an ever changing art. Twitter changes their rules often and has been on the warpath lately, deleting accounts of those they suspect of spamming.
One thing you can do to protect yourself from the twitter ban hammer is to make sure that you have laser targeted followers. If you are in the internet marketing niche, you do not want to be sending messages to those interested in “dog training.” That is a sure way to pile up the spam complaints and become a victim of the Twitter Slap.
Like Google and Youtube, Twitter is fast becoming very content relevant conscious. The sooner you understand this, the easier your marketing efforts using that medium will become.
